Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of North Texas. I study American politics with particular interests in distributive politics, public policy, and elections. Recent projects have explored the mass feedback effects of New Deal-era public works spending, inequalities in city service delivery and COVID-19 food assistance, and the politics of local education spending. My research has been published in the American Political Science Review and the Journal of Politics, among other outlets, and covered in The New York Times and The Washington Post. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from UCLA in 2021. Outside of academia, I am an amateur dodgeball player and devoted Swiftie. |
